DIEGO ALEJANDRO GONZÁLEZ
director + theatermaker

I’m a director + theatermaker in NYC, originating from the México-Texas border, creating work that exists in Nepantla—the in-between state where cultures, identities, histories, and futures collide.
I believe theater is a site of transformation: a portal for memory, prophecy, meditation, healing, sensuality, and imagination. I try to make interdisciplinary theater that points toward our collective future.
I create theater not only as director, but also as: writer, choreographer, performer, media artist, graphic designer, and creative producer.
